Wild & Free 10-Week Yoga, Meditation & Self-Compassion Series for Teens with Charlotte Vetter, Teen Life Coach & Yoga Teacher 10 week series begins March 18 Mondays Middle School Ages 3:15-4:15 High School Ages 4:15-5:15 Each class will consist of some configuration of yoga, meditation, self inquiry activities, and sharing focused on that week’s theme to help you feel happy and stress free. You’ll learn these skills that you can use for the rest of your life! You’ll walk away: Knowing how to meditate and practice yoga — practices of mindfulness. Knowing yourself better and loving yourself! Physically stronger. Confident in your own skin. With tools to support yourself when you feel stressed, anxious, shameful, hurt, or sad. Empowered to choose positive relationships. With a new group of awesome friends. Week: WELCOME What’s all the hype around “mindfulness”? Understanding the teenage brain, mindfulness, yoga, and meditation. GET TO KNOW YOURSELF Understand what you like, dislike, and how to find comfort in being uncomfortable. INTUITION Learning how to listen to your intuition. Including fun intuitive eating exercise. OVERWHELMING EMOTIONS (ie stress, anger, anxiety, loneliness) How to calm yourself down & how to feel less anxious, worried, or alone. YOUR BODY & FOOD Understanding your relationship to your body — we’ll cover the phases of your menstrual cycle too (i promise it will be fun!) RELATIONSHIPS (friendships and romantic relationships) How to develop loving, positive relationships, and learning how to say no to relationships that don’t feel good. COMMUNICATION How to have hard conversations, how to say NO and stand up for yourself. INNER CRITIC Learning how to manage the “voices” in your head.
