Talking to Kids about Politics

Wednesday, October 28, 2020, 3:00 AM

With the presidential elections right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to join Ruby Shamir, author of “What’s the Big Deal About Elections,” to discuss how to talk to kids about people power, how Americans exercise it through voting, and the role kids can play in civic engagement. Moderator: Annie Hurst, APJCC Preschool’s Early Childhood Assistant Director
About the author: Ruby Shamir worked for over a decade in government and politics—at the Clinton White House, in the U.S. Senate, and on lots of campaigns. Now, she’s an award-winning children’s book author and literary researcher sharing all she learned in those roles with kids. She is the author of the “”What’s the Big Deal About . . .”” series among other books. She lives in the Bronx, New York, with her husband and three children.
