Strengthening Families: Introductions to the Protective Factors
Professional Development Hours: 6 Strengthening Families is a research-informed approach to increase family strengths, enhance child development and reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect. It is based on engaging families, programs, and communities in building five protective factors: Parental Resilience; Social Connections, Knowledge of parenting and child development; Concrete support in times of need; and Social and Emotional competence of children. Trainings are subject to cancellation if registration is low. If for some reason you are unable to attend, contact Marissa Frias at 925-942-5331 or firstname.lastname@example.org, 48 hours before the training to cancel your registration. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. to begin check-in. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Please be courteous and seated early so the training may begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. There is no late admittance. Only light snacks, coffee, tea, and water will be provided. No meals will be provided at the training, please plan accordingly.
