Émigrés & Exiles from Hollywood: Series Finale
E4TT's season finale explores rarely heard chamber works and arrangements by film composers who fled Europe in the 1930s and 40s, creating today's "Hollywood sound," as well as by Polish composers of that era. Repertory features Alexandre Tansman, Franz Waxman, Erich Korngold, Erich Zeisl, Miklós Rózsa, Henry Vars, Hanns Eisler, Szymon Laks, Mieczyslaw Weinberg, André Tchaikowsky and Grazyna Bacewicz. Musicians: Nanette McGuinness, soprano; Anne Lerner, cello; and season guest Margaret Halbig, piano. *Available at no cost via livestream on E4TT's YouTube channel.
