What Is Clicker Training?

Why should professionals have all the fun? Discover what evidence tells us about how animals learn, see how applied animal behavior harnesses research to get results, and then sharpen your newfound training skills on a human partner! You might even change the way you see your own pets. Topics to be covered include: the science behind clicker training the special applications for clicker training in a shelter why modern animal training has shifted toward a reward-based, coersion-free approach Open to Pets in Need volunteers and curious pet lovers alike—and not just for dog people! This workshop is a required part of training to become involved in the PIN Special Projects program.
