2018 Niles Festival of Lights Parade
The Niles Festival of Lights and Parade Which for many Fremont residents signals the start of the holiday season, will take place Friday, November 23 2018 | 6-9 pm – Tree lighting at 6 pm Niles Blvd this event is FREE For more information visit our official website www.nilesfestivaloflightsparade.org/ This annual event is put on by the Niles Merchants Association DJ Alex Reyes #djalexreyes from DJ Alex Reyes Entertainment will provide music / is also an official proud sponsor for this years event! 20,000 people line Niles Blvd, rocking 60+ floats, Mexican horses, Santa, giant balloons, old cars, sleds, antique tractors and fire engines, bikers, The Tap Dancing Christmas Trees, Snoopy and even 20 members of the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers (Star Wars). Always the Friday after Thanksgiving, the “Train Of Lights” also lights up the Niles night – a decorated 14-car steam train, glowing in the dark, and rolling away with 500 passengers on a ride through Niles Canyon, a sight to see. Stores and restaurants in the area will be open for business, and there will be a lot of dressed up characters and fun things to do for children.
